Since 2005, the curriculum has adhered to the revised Indian Nursing Syllabus, offering a balanced mix of academics, practical exposure, and social work for holistic development.

Students undergo rigorous practical training in line with INC norms. Training is conducted at government hospitals, primary health centers, and reputed private hospitals. This hands-on exposure includes field visits and real-world practice in various nursing specialties, ensuring students acquire the clinical acumen required to excel in their roles.
The Community Lab equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for public health nursing. It includes tools and models to teach:
- Duration: 2 years
Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
Minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
Mandatory registration with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.
A minimum of 90% attendance in theory and practical sessions is mandatory to qualify for university examinations conducted by Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
